Khorramabad District (Persian: بخش خرمآباد) is in Tonekabon County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Khorramabad.[3]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 37,517 in 10,453 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 40,263 people in 12,804 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 41,006 inhabitants in 14,111 households.[2]
In 2019, Baladeh-ye Sharqi Rural District was established in the district. Do Hezar Rural District and Seh Hezar Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Kuhestan District, which was divided into three rural districts and no cities.[6]
