Kahriz-e Varvasht (Persian: كهريزوروشت), also Romanized as Kahrīz-e Varvasht; also known as Kahrīz,[3] is a village in, and the former capital of, Itivand-e Jonubi Rural District[4] of Itivand District, Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran, serving as capital of the district. The new capital of the rural district is the village of Qomish.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of Kakavand District) was 784 in 145 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 818 people in 186 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 670 people in 176 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

In March 2022, Itivand-e Jonubi Rural District and Itivand-e Shomali Rural District were separated from the district in the establishment of Itivand District, which was divided into two rural districts.[5]
