Khais Millen is an Indian film writer and director active since 2018 in Malayalam cinema.

Biography[edit]

In 2014 Millen wrote and directed the short Lipstick,[1] a film about child sexual abuse.[2]

Aakashvani (2016) was his first full-length feature film as director,[3][4] It starred Kavya Madhavan[5] in lead, a family drama which was commercially unsuccessful at the box office, and was later broadcast on Flowers TV.[6]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Millen directed a thriller film Thala,[7][8] his second feature film, prized at the 52d Kerala State Film Awards.[9]

After Thala, his second screenplay was Adithattu, a seafaring film directed by Jijo Antony, starring Shine Tom Chacko and Sunny Wayne leads.[10] The film was awarded Second Best Film at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards.[11]

His third film, Paradise Circus,[12] written and directed by him, was released in 2023. It is about life in the circus.[13]
