Cham Kabud (Persian: چم كبود), also Romanized as Cham Kabūd and Cham-e Kabūd; also known as Chamkabood Bala, Cham Kabūd-e Pā'īn, and Cham Kabūd-e-Pā’īn,[3] is a village in Jaber-e Ansar Rural District of the Central District of Abdanan County, Ilam province, Iran. It was the capital of the former Cham Kabud Rural District of Sarab Bagh District.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,054 in 213 households,[6] when it was in Cham Kabud Rural District. The following census in 2011 counted 1,290 people in 332 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,202 people in 351 households,[2] by which time the village had been transferred to Jaber-e Ansar Rural District of the Central District.[4]
