John Henry Menzies (1839-1919)[1] was a New Zealand woodcarver, cabinet maker, farmer and artist. His work is in the collections of the National Library of New Zealand, the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, the Canterbury Museum, the Christchurch Art Gallery and the Akaroa Museum.[2][3][4][5][6]

Menzies was born in England in 1839. He emigrated to New Zealand in 1860.[7]
