Sarfaryab (Persian: سرفارياب)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Sarfaryab District of Charam County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran.[5] It also serves as the administrative center for Sarfaryab Rural District.[6] The city is the merger of the village of Bar Aftab-e Sarfaryab with the village of Eslamabad-e Mashayekh.[3]

At the 2006 census, its population (as the total of its constituent villages before the merger) was 2,405 in 547 households, when it was in Sarfaryab Rural District of Kohgiluyeh County.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 2,157 people in 517 households, by which time the district had separated from the county in the establishment of Charam County.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,995 people in 536 households,[2] when the villages had merged to become the city of Sarfaryab.[3]
