Shahrasar (Persian: شهراسر)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Pain Taleqan Rural District of the Central District of Taleqan County, Alborz province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 101 in 40 households, when it was in the former Taleqan District of Savojbolagh County, Tehran province.[5]

In October 2010, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Taleqan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Taleqan as its capital and only city.[4]

At the latest census in 2016, its population was 98 in 41 households,[2] by which time the county had become a part of the newly established Alborz province.[6]
