Early life and acting career[edit]

In 2011, at the age of 6,[1] Mathis made his acting debut in the film Dix Jours En Or (2012),[2] opposite Franck Dubosc, playing a mixed race[3] youngster who is left in the company of an unsuspecting bachelor who is asked him to take him across the country to his father.

The following year, Touré had a small role in the film "The Mark of the Angels – Miserere" (2013), starring Gérard Depardieu and JoeyStarr.

Soccer career[edit]

In 2022, at the age of 17, during his final year of high school, Mathis once again made headlines, this time for his skills on the soccer field when he joined football club AC Ajaccio as a central defender. This came after turns at Bondy[4] – the club where renowned player Kylian Mbappé trained - and Montfermeil.[5]

Despite facing initial challenges including a two-month absence due to injury, Mathis' perseverance paid off as he found his place in the French U19 national team and made appearances in the N3 National Championship.[5]

Personal life[edit]

Mathis is a distant cousin of French footballer, José Touré and the latter's father, Malian footballer Bako Touré who also played for AC Ajaccio.[5]
