Feng Qing Jin Xi Baota (风庆金丝宝塔), which means "Feng Qing Golden Spiral Tower", is a high-quality Chinese red tea grown in Fengqing County, Yunnan Province. The tea is famous for its unique shape and excellent flavor, which combines richness and sweet notes.

Origin[edit]

Fengqing County is located in the southwestern part of Yunnan Province, famous for its favorable climate and rich soils ideal for growing tea. The Yunnan tea culture dates back thousands of years, and Feng Qing Jin Xi Baota is one of the most prominent representatives of this tradition. Feng Qing red tea is made from juicy Yunnan raw materials. Fleshy shoots, buds and 2 leaves grown in the gardens of the Feng Qing district are used. [1]

Taste[edit]

Freshly brewed tea impresses with its exquisite bouquet, which harmoniously combines honey and dried fruit notes. This flavorful ensemble creates a unique impression with every sip. One of the most attractive characteristics of this tea is its complex play of flavors: at first, the taste is perceived as light and barely perceptible, gradually revealing itself to a bright and rich aftertaste. This transformation makes the tea drinking experience particularly pleasant and unpredictable, satisfying even the most demanding gourmets. [2]

Health Benefits[edit]

Feng Qing Hong Cha red tea is known for its many beneficial properties. It helps to relieve fatigue, headaches and emotional tension, providing a warming effect that creates a feeling of comfort and peace. Feng Qing Hong Cha is also used as a natural energizer, providing long-lasting vigor without overloading the nervous system.

This tea has anti-inflammatory properties, helps to strengthen the walls of blood vessels and improve cerebral circulation, and normalizes metabolism. In addition, it accelerates the elimination of toxins from the body and promotes the breakdown of fats. [3]

Brewing[edit]

This tea is recommended to be brewed using the Gong Fu Cha method:

  1. Choosing a vessel. For brewing tea using the Gong Fu Cha method, we recommend using a gaiwan or a kettle with a medium or high level of heat retention.
  2. The amount of tea. Use 7 grams of tea for every 100 ml of the brewing vessel volume.
  3. Water temperature. The water should be at a temperature of 90-100°C for optimal brewing.
  4. Brewing. Pour hot water over the tea leaves.
  5. Brewing time. Let the tea steep for 5-10 seconds. With each subsequent brewing, increase the infusion time slightly.
  6. Repeated brewing. You can brew tea up to 8 times, enjoying new flavors each time. [4]
