It operates as train number 12823 from Durg to Hazrat Nizamuddin and as train number 12824 in the reverse direction.

As the route is fully electrified, it is hauled by WAP-7 locomotive of Bhilai Shed between Durg and Bilaspur Junction, then WAP-7 of Tughlakabad Shed between Bilaspur and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
