Indian 3 is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. Shankar, who co-wrote the screenplay with B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. It is jointly produced by Subaskaran Allirajah's Lyca Productions and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The sequel to Indian (1996), Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption and has an ensemble supporting cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek, and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Indian 3 was officially announced after its shooting was over.Kamal hasan revealed that both Indian 2 and indian 3 shooting completed simultaneously; principal photography began in January 2019 and took place in Chennai, Rajahmundry, Bhopal and Gwalior. In February 2020, following an accident that killed some crew members, production was suspended owing to numerous factors, including legal issues surrounding the accident and the COVID-19 pandemic before resuming in August 2022, with Red Giant Movies joining as co-producers. It was further shot in Tirupati, Chennai and Vijayawada, while a few sequences were filmed at Johannesburg and Taiwan. Filming wrapped by March 2024. The technical crew includes musician Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographers Ravi Varman and R. Rathnavelu,[a] editor A. Sreekar Prasad, production designer T. Muthuraj and visual effects supervisor V. Srinivas Mohan.

Indian 3 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in June 2025.
