EMR Regional is the brand used to represent the routes from East Midlands Railway. These include the services from Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street and from Crewe to Newark Castle. They run a mixture of Class 158s and 170s with 158s normally confined to the Norwich to Liverpool stretch.[1] with the Class 153s and Class 156s now withdrawn.[2]

The 170s have been introduced to replace the 153s and 156s. However, the 26 158s will be kept for the foreseeable future and are, along with the 170s due for refurbishment.[3][4][5][6][7][8]
