No Honking Twenty20 Series

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The No Honking Twenty20 Series is an extension of the popular Road Safety World Series. The competition is supported by the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.[1][2]

The series is a unique concept featuring India Legends, Sri Lanka Legends and Bangladesh Legends all converging for a single cause – to promote a safer environment on the roads while also focusing on reducing noise levels through extreme honking, a serious concern in India.

The Series was initially slated to start from September 16 to 18, 2023 at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose ground at Mira-Bhayandar, Maharashtra, but on 17 September 2023, it was announced that the tournament has been tournament postponed to October 15 to 22, 2023 due to adverse weather conditions prevailing in Mumbai, characterized by heavy rainfall.[3]
