Jalal Khan is an elected candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-N, contested General Election 2024 for constituency PK-79 from Peshawar District. He is currently serving as member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since Feb 2024. Jalal Khan is also the nephew of famous Afghan businessman Zohrab Gul Kochi and is associated with the business of tobacco and cigrarette. Originally hailing from Nangrahar, Afghanistan, Jalal Khan's identity[1] was brought to question by several political parties and media outlets, including JUI-F, ANP, and PTI, as having committed identity theft to obtain Pakistan's citizenship. The election of jalal khan in pakistan was highly appreciated and welcomed by the afghan citizens of pakistan.

He contested the 2024 general elections as a Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate from PK-79 Peshawar-VIII defeating his opposing candidate by a margin of 4,536 votes.[2]
