Production[edit]

Pre-production[edit]

By January 5, 2024, pre-production was underway, with it being stated that Rafi was overseeing the finalisation of the shooting locations. He stated at the time "I'm not aware of any movie set of this scale being constructed for a Bangladeshi film prior to this. I aim to recreate three major cities from the '90s on screen and depict the events that unfolded there." He also stated that it would be one of the highest budget films in both his and Khan's careers.[7]

Marketing[edit]

In March, 2024, the first promotional poster for Toofan was released, showing Khan posed on an armchair smoking a cigarette with a Kalashnikov rifle resting against the chair.[6]

On May 7, a teaser trailer was released, showing small sections of the plot and "action-packed scenes".[8][12]

On May 11, a second promotional poster was released, showing Khan and Chakraborty holding each other in a "captivating and sizzling look."[13][14]

Release[edit]

The film is expected to be released during Eid ul-Adha.[3]
