Mario Acampa was born on February 21, 1987, in Turin, Italy. [1]

Acampa has provided commentary for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Rai Gulp: in 2017 with Laura Carusino, in 2018 with Federica Carta, in 2019 with Alexia Rizzardi, and in 2021 with Marta Viola and Giorgia Boni. In 2022 on Rai 1, he was accompanied by Francesca Fialdini, Rosanna Vaudetti, and Gigliola Cinquetti.

On January 25, 2022, he co-hosted the allocation draw of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 alongside Carolina Di Domenico.[2] During the event, he also hosted the 'Turquoise Carpet' and press conferences for the finalist singers, together with Laura Carusino and Carolina Di Domenico.

On May 11, 2024, he will announce the points from the Italian jury at the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.[3]
