Demographics[edit]

Ethnicity[edit]

The Mawathagama Polling Division has a Sinhalese majority (83.1%) and a significant Moor population (11.6%) . In comparison, the Kurunegala Electoral District (which contains the Mawathagama Polling Division) has a Sinhalese majority (91.4%) [1]
