The 1984–85 Harty Cup was the 65th staging of the Harty Cup since its establishment by the Munster Council of Gaelic Athletic Association in 1918.[1] The competition ran from 6 February to 24 March 1985.

St Finbarr's College were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by St Flannan's College in the quarter-finals.[2][3]

The Harty Cup final was played on 24 March 1985 at Dr Mannix Sportsfield in Charleville, between North Monastery and St Flannan's College, in what was their sventh meeting in the final overall and a first meeting in two years. North Monastery won the match by 5–06 to 1–07 to claim their 17th Harty Cup title overall and a first title in four years.[4][5]

St Colman's College's Gilbert Murphy was the top scorer with 6-01.
