Jorge Simes (born 1960) is an Argentine-born American painter.[1]

Education[edit]

Simes attended the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes in Córdoba, obtaining a master's degree in drawing and printmaking.[2]

Career[edit]

Simes met his wife Cindy Simes (née Mrozek), an American, in Buenos Aires.[3] The pair co-founded Simes Studios, a decorative painting company. In 1988, the business was moved to the United States when Jorge and Cindy Simes settled in Chicago.[4]

Simes has been involved in solo or group shows at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, as well as galleries in Argentina, United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico, Uruguay and Japan.[4]

Simes lives in Chicago.[4]
