Kōjiro Station (神代駅, Kōjiro-eki) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West).[1]

Lines[edit]

Kōjiro Station is served by the JR West Sanyō Main Line, and is located 366.8 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kobe.

Station layout[edit]

The station consists of two unnumbered opposed side platforms connected by a footbridge. The station is unattended.

History[edit]

Kōjiro Station was opened on 13 July 1917 as signal stop and was elevated to a full passenger station on 11 October 1944. With the privatization of the Japan National Railway (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company (JR West).

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 69 passengers daily.[2]
