Slade Caldwell is an American outfielder for Valley View High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is considered a top prospect for the 2024 Major League Baseball draft.[1][2]
Amateur career[edit]
Caldwell lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas and attends the Valley View High School.[3] During his sophomore year he hit .511 with nine home runs and 48 RBIs with 41 stolen bases.[4][5] Caldwell was named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior after batting .512 with five HR, 31 RBIs, and 40 stolen bases while also going 7-1 with a 2.31 ERA and 72 strikeouts as a pitcher.[6][7] After the season Caldwell was selected to play in the 2023 MLB High School All-American Game.[8] He committed to play college baseball at Ole Miss during his freshman year of high school.[9]
