The Bingiriya Polling Division has a Sinhalese majority (92.7%) . In comparison, the Kurunegala Electoral District (which contains the Bingiriya Polling Division) has a Sinhalese majority (91.4%) [1]

The Bingiriya Polling Division has a Buddhist majority (80.2%) and a significant Roman Catholic population (12.1%) . In comparison, the Kurunegala Electoral District (which contains the Bingiriya Polling Division) has a Buddhist majority (88.5%) [1]
