Jafarabad (Persian: جعفراباد), also Romanized as Ja‘farābād,[3] was a village in, and former capital of, Abezhdan Rural District of Abezhdan District, Andika County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,021 in 196 households, when it was in the former Andika District of Masjed Soleyman County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,107 people in 253 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of the new Andika County.[6]
