The phrase Ali brothers, in Indian history, refers to the two brothers:

The Ali Brothers Muhammad Ali Jauhar and Shaukat Ali were active in the Khilfat Movement in India and Pakistan. Both Studied in Aligarh Muslim University. The Ali Brothers served a prison sentence for inciting Indian Muslims against the British to protect the Khalifat in Turkey. Shaukat Ali was interested in Islam, he helped Muhammad Ali Jinnah for making in the All-India Muslim League. After the release of the brothers in 1919 he still continued the support for Khilfat in India which ultimately made him sentenced again in 1921. (Paragraph added by AliM2nd)
