Career[edit]

In his PhD thesis "Stress Ulcers" !986-8 he proposed an early diagnostic triad including stress, hyperacidity and initial stomach bleeding and anti-acidity prophylaxis before operations and in cases of trauma and multi-organic deficiency.

!990 he published his ambulatory surgical method of suturing ligation without excision of haemorrhoids.

During his work in the Burns Department in the Military Medical Academy he introduced wound covering in burns immediately after a diagnosis of non-infected granulations. Taking a piece of a healthy skin, the separated keratinocytes adhere on rat tail collagen microcarriers in 2 to 3 hours and are ready to be placed on the burn wounds for centrifugal covering treatment – presented at the Lausanne International Congress on Burns, Jun. 25-28, 1991, Lausanne, Switzerland. Also he published successful treatment of chronic atonic wounds with this method.

In the early 90s Serdev was the author of a proposed "scarless" closed lifting methods suturing SMAS to periosteum without incisions, in Brazil known as fio elastico.[2][3] "Beleza questao de atitude" by Mari Fio Bulgaro Fios de Sustentação Guia da plastica Paraenses já podem usar técnica de origem búlgara que tem revolucionado os tratamentos estéticos Tensor / Fio Búlgaro.
