Chaman Protest, also known as "Chaman Parlat" is a current protest in the Chaman District of Pashtunistan, a protest ignited when the Pakistani government imposed restrictions on the movement of Pashtun people residing on both sides of the Durand Line.[1][2][3] Spanning eight months and counting, the Chaman protest stands as Pakistan's longest ongoing demonstration, fueled by the fervent demands for the restoration of Pashtuns' rights to border trade and unrestricted movement across the border.[4][5][6] With steadfast determination, the protesters continue to raise their voices, advocating for the recognition and empowerment of the Pashtun community and their fundamental freedoms along the border.[7][8][9] Manzoor Ahmad Pashteen, was also forcefully abducted by the citizen state security members during the time when he was addressing to the peaceful protestors.[10][11]
