Divine Uzama (born December 4, 2002), known professionally as Zerry DL, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter.[1] He pursued a recording career in 2021 and released his debut single, "Puff & Pass" in 2023.[2] He signed with Plutomania Records to release his debut extended play, Danger Zee (2023).[3]

Early life[edit]

Divine Uzama was born in Benin City. Uzama is the second oldest of four siblings, his older brother is singer Shallipopi.[4][5]

Career[edit]

On July 9, 2023, Zerrydl released his breakout single "Puff & Pass", which debuted at number eight on the TurnTable Top Street Pop songs.[6][7][8] In October 2023, Zerry signed a recording deal with Plutomania Records.[9] On October 20, 2023, he released the remix of "Puff & Pass", featuring singer Shallipopi.[10][11] The song's remix video was released on October 25, 2023.[12] He collaborated with Shallipopi, appearing on "Wet on Me" off the album Presido La Pluto.[13][14] Its accompanying music video was released on April 3, 2024.[15] On 15 December 2023, he released his debut EP Danger Zee, which debuted at number 14 on the TurnTable Top 50,[16] and also debuted on Apple Music Top albums.[17] Its second single "Popo" reached number 54 on Nigeria Spotify Daily chart.[18] On April 11, 2024, Zerry DL was featured on Shallipopi's "Billion", alongside Tegaboi dc, off the album Shakespopi.[19] "Billion" debuted at Number 14 on the TurnTable Top 100.[20][21]
