Uladzimir Tsesler (Belarusian: Уладзімір Якаўлевіч Цэслер, romanized: Uladzimir Yakaulevich Tsesler; born 30 April 1951) is a Belarusian artist and designer.

Life[edit]

Tsesler graduated from the design department of the Faculty of Design and Decorative Applied Arts of the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute in 1979.

He lived and worked in Minsk. After the 2020 Belarusian presidential election, Tsesler became a member of the Coordination Council for ensuring the transfer of power, after which he was forced to leave Belarus. He first moved to Kyiv and then settled in Cyprus.^[1]

Works[edit]

Since 1979, Tsesler worked together with Sergey Voychenko. The creative tandem gained international fame. Their "Project of the Century. 12 of the XX", in which the twelve most significant artists of the 20. century were presented in the form of eggs, was exhibited at the Pushkin Museum in Moscow (1999-2000), at the Ludwig Museum at the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg (2000)^[2] and at the Venice Biennale (2005).
