Oklo Inc.

Oklo Inc. is an American company developing nuclear fission reactors. Its chairmain is OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman.[1]

In July 2023, it was announced that the company planned to go public via a special purpose acquisition company at a value of $850 million.[2] On its debut on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2024, the company's stock fell by 54%.[3]

The company is named for Oklo, a region in the country of Gabon in which several natural nuclear fission reactors have been found.[4]
