Chalanchulan Rural District (Persian: دهستان چالانچولان) is in Silakhor District of Dorud County, Lorestan province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Chalanchulan.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 8,288 in 2,055 households.[5] There were 7,728 inhabitants in 2,143 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,470 in 2,233 households. The most populous of its 25 villages was Zargaran-e Olya, with 776 people.[2]
