Life[edit]

Moro is from Italy.[1] She completed a B.F. A. in art history at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna.[1] She earned a master's degree in European fine arts at the Winchester School of Art at the University of Southampton.[1] Moro received a Ph.D. in fine arts at the University of Central Lancashire.[1] In 2003, she attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.[1]

Her drawings, prints, paintings, and mappings depict the flow of change, landmasses, the depth of history, and psychological states or memory.[2][3][4][5] Moving to New York City in 2003, she took a teaching position at The New School, and developed their art program. In 2010, she became the director of the Ph.D. program at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDSVA).[6] In 2012, she became its director, vice president for academic affairs and was working as a professor of art, philosophy, and visual studies.[1] In 2024, Moro was named the second president of IDSVA, succeeding founding president George Smith.[1]
