Kaanch Ke Rishte is a television drama series that aired on DD National. It is based on the story of a retired journalist and his wife.[1] The series premiered on 29 March 2009 and aired every Sunday at 9:30pIST. It was directed by Arshad Khan, and written by Nawaab Arzoo. The supervising producer and the creative director of this show was Tariq Mohammad (Tariq Mohd.).

The story is based on a retired newspaper editor who lives with his wife in a huge mansion by the sea. They live by themselves, without their sons or other extended family members. Therefore, any builders keep an eye on the property. The builders manage to lure the sons of the newspaper editor and his wife, and promise the sons a large sum of money if they can get the bungalow vacated. The sons eventually conspire to get their parents to vacate the mansion, and sell it to the builders. However, they end up regretting their decision when they realize how much harm they have cause to their parents.
