Hit-and-Run Squad is a South Korean action police procedural film.[2] It is directed by Han Jun-hee and stars Gong Hyo-jin, Ryu Jun-yeol, Jo Jung-suk, Jeon Hye-jin and Yum Jung-ah.[3] The film was released on January 30, 2019.[4][5]

Premise[edit]

Eun Si Yeon was demoted to the hit-and-run task force at a police station from the regional investigation unit at the National Police Agency and will work alongside Seo Min Jae, who is the ace officer of the hit-and-run task force. The two will be working to chase down Jung Jae Chul, who is a former Formula One racer now committing crimes with his madness for speed and cars.[6]

Sysnopsis[edit]

Eun Si-yeon (Kong Hyo-jin), a lieutenant in the internal investigation department of the police's elite organization, tightens the investigation network to catch Jeong Jae-cheol (Jeong-seok), an F1 racer-turned-businessman, along with Chief Yoon (Yum Jeong-ah) who is the only trusted and follower in the organization. However, he is demoted to a hit-and-run task force after being branded as having carried out an unreasonable coercive investigation.

It turns out that Woo Gye-jang (Jeon Hye-jin), the leader of the police unit, and Seo Min-jae (Ryu Jun-yeol), the ace constable who has a natural sense of car. There are only two team members, no manual, no manpower, no time, but he is the best at catching a hit-and-run.

Si-yeon, who continued to keep a close eye on Jae-cheol, found out that Jae-cheol is the prime suspect in the unsolved hit-and-run case that the hit-and-run team is investigating.

The demonstration, which bet everything to catch Jae-cheol, the hit-and-run ace who pursues the hit-and-run to the end, and their team play begins with all their efforts toward one goal.

The youngest of the task force, but also the ace, with a natural instinct when it comes to cars. Sporting unruly hair, glasses, and a flip phone, he is easy to underestimate, but a persistent investigator.

Production[edit]

Lee Je-hoon was initially offered a lead role but had declined the offer.[11]

The first script reading took place on the March 5 and filming began on March 11, 2018.[12][13]
