Flat as a Pancake is the debut studio album by American rock band Head East. The album was originally released independently by Pyramid Records. However, when radio stations began to play the song "Never Been Any Reason", A&M Records signed the band and re-released the album in June 1975.[2] The album was certified gold on September 19, 1978, by the RIAA and is their only certified album.[3] The album, which was recorded the at Golden Voice Studios in South Pekin, Illinois, is their most successful.
