The Anuradhapura East Polling Division has a Sinhalese majority (87.8%) and a significant Moor population (11.2%) . In comparison, the Anuradhapura Electoral District (which contains the Anuradhapura East Polling Division) has a Sinhalese majority (91.0%) [1]
