Angut-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان انگوت غربي) is in the Central District of Ungut County, Ardabil province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Qarah Aghaj-e Pain.[4]

At the census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Angut District of Germi County) was 12,806 in 2,585 households.[5] There were 11,855 inhabitants in 2,920 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 10,721 in 2,953 households. The most populous of its 86 villages was Ziveh, with 1,412 people.[2]

In September 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Ungut County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Angut as its capital and only city.[3]
