Shirang-e Olya (Persian: شيرنگ عليا, also Romanized as Shīrang-e ‘Olyā; also known as Shīrang-e Bālā)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Shirang Rural District of Kamalan District, Aliabad County, Golestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,206 in 521 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,204 people in 611 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,206 people in 676 households.[2]
