Bansont (Persian: بانسنت)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Bansont Rural District of the Central District of Konarak County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,475 in 273 households, when it was in Jahliyan Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,838 people in 376 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,824 people in 417 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Bansont was transferred to the newly established rural district.[4]
