Mark V. Shoen (born 1951)[1] is an American billionaire businessman and vice-president of the moving equipment and storage rental company U-Haul, which was founded by his father. Shoen is also the largest shareholder in its parent company, Amerco.

As of 2023, Shoen is the richest person in Arizona, with an estimated net worth of $4.8 billion.[2]

Shoen was born in Phoenix, Arizona the son of Leonard Shoen and Anna Carty. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross.[1]

Career[edit]

Shoen is the largest shareholder in Amerco, the parent company of U-Haul, which is North America’s biggest moving and storage company.[3]

According to Forbes, Shoen has a net worth of $4.8 billion, as of August 2023.[1]

Personal life[edit]

Shoen is married with one child and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.[1]
