Md Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal

Md Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal is the former senior secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Bangladesh.[1][2]

Early life[edit]

kamal did his bachelor's degree in business studies at the University of Rajshahi and masters at the University of Dhaka.[3] He did his PhD in eco-tourism in the Netherlands.[4]

Career[edit]

Kamal joined the 7th batch of administration cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1985.[5]

Kamal was the director general of the Directorate of Primary Education.[6]

Kamal was the secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.[7] He presided over a seminar on Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangla Academy on 19 August 2019.[8]

Kamal was appointed the secretary of the Ministry of Defence on 7 July 2020.[5] He replaced Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, who had died from COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh.[7] On 20 January 2021, he was promoted to senior secretary.[5] He handed over books on Sheikh Russel written by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the cadets of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps.[9]

In November 2021, Kamal visited Kadirabad Cantonment and inaugurated two projects.[10] Kamal inaugurated a corner dedicated to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization.[11] He spoke at the inauguration of the Bangabandhu Military Museum.[12]

Kamal spoke at the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security organized by the Russian government.[13]

On 7 February 2022, Kamal retired as the secretary of the Ministry of Defence.[5]
