Jannatabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان جنت‌آباد) is in Jannatabad District of Salehabad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[3] It is administered from the city of Jannatabad.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Salehabad District of Torbat-e Jam County) was 10,087 in 2,129 households.[5] There were 9,610 inhabitants in 2,264 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 8,162 in 2,108 households. The most populous of its 36 villages was Kariz Kohandel (now the capital of Ostay Rural District),[3] with 1,598 people.[2]

In 2017, Salehabad District was separated from Torbat-e Jam County in the establishment of Salehabad County, which was divided into two districts and five rural districts, with the city of Salehabad as its capital.[3]
