Sarovar Hotels & Resorts are a chain of resorts and hotels throughout India.[1] The chain is owned by Groupe du Louvre which was bought by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government-owned Jinjiang International in 2015.[2]

The hotel chain was founded in 1994 by Anil Madhok, who previously had a career in managing the luxury hotel brand Oberoi Hotels. Sarovar was founded to fill the void of mid-market hotel companies from India.[3]

Sarovar Hotels announced plans to set up 12 new budget hotels including one in Africa in the country of Kenya.[4]
