Abdulla Fareed Al Gurg

Abdulla Al Gurg a business entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the industry, is the Chairman of Abdulla AL Gurg Global Investments (AGGI), a leading corporate entity headquartered in Dubai, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and Director of Advisory Board of Easa Saleh Al Gurg (ESAG) Group.[1][2][3]

Al Gurg attended Dubai National School for his early education. He later earned his Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management from American University of Sharjah. He has obtained certificates in Executive Education in 'Leadership Development', from the Columbia Business School, and Executive Education in 'Negotiation & Decision-Making, Changing the Game', from the Harvard Business School. Abdulla completed his Master’s in Business Management from Regis University, Denver, Colorado.[4][1][5]

Career[edit]

Abdulla Al Gurg started his career as Executive Project Director of The Tiger Woods Dubai for over three years where he quickly rose to become Group General Manager of ESAG in October 2009. In his current role as Member of the Board of Directors for ESAG, he leads private investments and joint venture relationships.[6]

Abdulla Al Gurg founded and established his personal business venture – Abdulla AlGurg Global Investment (AGGI) in 2020, where the company grew exponentially, expanding its portfolio across various business verticals including hospitality, oil and gas, gold and precious metal, real estate, life science and wellness within and outside the UAE.

In 2022, Abdulla established The Omère Foundation in conjunction with The Omère Institute, a cutting edge wellness clinic to aid research in ground-breaking areas of modern medicine that will transform the future of global healthcare.

Al Gurg is also a Director in Al Gurg Fosroc LLC, a joint venture between Fosroc International and Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group as well as a member of the Advisory Council of School of Business and Management, American University of Sharjah. Abdulla had also served as one of the Directors of Board of the National Bank of Fujairah for over a decade and is also well-known for his philanthropic endeavors including ESAG Charity Foundation & Omere Foundation.

In recognition of the ESAG Foundation‘s charitable efforts, he was the Lloyds TSB Torchbearer for the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.[7]

Personal life[edit]

Abdulla is the grandson of late legendary - Easa Saleh Al Gurg, an Emirati business entrepreneur and investor who founded UAE-based conglomerate Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG).

Abdulla Al Gurg is born into a prominent Emirati business family as the oldest son of Mrs.Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director of ESAG, a well-known businesswoman in the region and listed among 'The World's 100 Most Powerful Women' by Forbes for 2023 and ranked 27th in the Arab Power 2023 listing of the 100 Most Powerful Arabs. AL Gurg is a keen painter and has an eye for bespoke collectibles. Abdulla’s possession of masterpiece collections speaks volume about his passion for fine arts.
