Kulachi (tribe)
Kulachi or Kolachi (Urdu: کولاچی) is a tribe of Dodai Rajput origins[1][2] that got its name from the Kolach or Kolanch area of Makran.[3] The city of Karachi in Sindh may have derived its name from this tribe.[4][2]

The name does not appear to be of great antiquity, and is probably due to the settlement of a Dodāī Balōč tribe called Kulāči, originally Rād̲j̲pūt

As such, many Baloch tribes adopted tribal names taken from place names in Makran, such as the Lashari, Gishkauri, Magasi, Bulaidai, Kalmati, Kolachi, Dashti, Zahri, and many many others.
