Marvast District (Persian: بخش مروست) is a former administrative division of Khatam County, Yazd province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Marvast.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 12,773 in 3,374 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 13,948 people in 3,823 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 15,150 inhabitants in 4,518 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Marvast County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Marvast as its capital and only city.[6]
