Korkhongan (Persian: كرخنگان)[a] is a village in Isar Rural District of Isar District in Marvast County, Yazd province, Iran, serving as capital of both the district[4] and the rural district.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,500 in 340 households, when it was in Marvast District of Khatam County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,743 people in 424 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,488 people in 404 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Marvast County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Marvast as its capital and only city.[4]
