Landy Párraga Goyburo (February 26, 2001 – April 28, 2024), was a Ecuadorian model and beauty contestant, who participated in the Miss Ecuador 2022.[1]
Biography[edit]
Born in the city of Quevedo, she studied Social Communication at the Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo (UTB)., and carried out social activities in the gerontological center of his city, lived in the Ecuadorian city of Santo Domingo
Foray into beauty contests[edit]
She started as queen of her parish, Vicereina of Quevedo, Queen of the Faculty of her university, Queen of the Special Forces Group #26 Cenepa and then she rose to become Miss Mesoamerica 2022 in Ecuador. She trained in catwalk, public speaking and other related skills. Participated in Miss Mesoamérica Ecuador Internacional held in El Salvador.
Miss Ecuador 2022[edit]
She participated in the beauty contest of Miss Ecuador 2022, representating to the Los Ríos Province, where was fifth finalist of the contest.[2]
Death[edit]
In the Caso Metástasis, where it ended with the death of drug trafficker Leandro Norero, she was mentioned in some chats, while she was eating with her partner in a restaurant, around noon on April 28, was killed.
About 20 minutes earlier she had published a photo on social networks of the restaurant where she was.[3]
Párraga was shot in the head and five more in her body, by a hitman who entered the restaurant and ran away with another subject. She was pronounced dead at the scene.[4]
Her body was carried to her home in Quevedo, when she was buried on April 29 in her natal city, under strongest security measures.[5]
