History[edit]

On November 15, 2016, the holiday film Christmas in the Smokies became the first title distributed by Imagicomm Entertainment, making DVDs of the film available for purchase through Amazon and Walmart. Shortly after, the film was distributed on Netflix.[3] In 2017, Imagicomm struck distribution deals for the film County Line after it aired on INSP.[4] The Cowboy Way was the first series to be distributed by Imagicomm Entertainment, to Amazon Prime on August 7, 2018. Shortly after, on September 24, 2018, the culinary-themed reality series State Plate, hosted by Taylor Hicks, also became available through Imagicomm on Amazon Prime. In November 2019, Imagicomm agreed a deal with Roku for five seasons of The Cowboy Way.[5] During the same year, they also agreed streaming deals for The Legend Of 5 Mile Cave.[6][7] A year later, Imagicomm made its 10th film, Blue Ridge available for release on DVD and digital HD download.[8]

In 2020, Imagicomm began to make available multiple holiday films to Fox Nation. That holiday season, Christmas in the Smokies, Christmas on the Coast, Christmas on the Range and Christmas in the Rockies became available to FOX Nation, followed by Christmas in the Pines and Christmas in the Wilds in 2021. Christmas in Rockwell, Christmas in Wolf Creek and Country Roads Christmas were available on the streaming platform during the 2022 holiday season.[2][9] Also in 2022, after the development of the popular County Line films, Imagicomm made available both County Line: All In and County Line: No Fear to multiple digital platforms.[10]

In early 2023, Imagicomm frequently appeared in the media for its use of production facilities in North Carolina for the filming of the series, Blue Ridge.[11][12] The 2023 Blue Ridge series was also announced to be filmed in NC.[13]
