Boqmech (Persian: بقمچ; also known as Būqmech, Boqmej, Boghmech, Boqmej, Bughmish, Būqmaj, Būqmīch, and Būqmīsh)^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Boq Mej Rural District of the Central District of Chenaran County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.^[4]

One of the attractions of the village is the alleys in the form of stone corridors that connect different areas of the village.^{[citation needed]}

Population[edit]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,902 in 478 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,544 people in 431 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,777 people in 529 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.^[2]
