Kashal-e Azad Sara (Persian: كشل ازادسرا), also Romanized as Kashal-e Āzād Sarā; also known as Kashal,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Kurka Rural District of the Central District of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh County, Gilan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was the former village of Kurka.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 746 in 216 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 733 people in 250 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 669 people in 236 households.[2]
